The D-Futuro Futurist Summit 2024 (DFFS 2024) has officially opened and is taking place from November 5 to November 7, 2024. The event is held through a collaboration between WIR Group, Pijar Foundation, Adhya, and One Hundred Percent. It aims to explore and showcase the latest innovations across various sectors by bringing together innovators, leaders, and activists from around the world—both domestic and international—to share insights, experiences, and solutions for future global challenges.
Coordinating Minister for Human Development and Culture, Pratikno, stated that DFFS 2024 focuses on efforts to promote and support the realization of a “Smart Indonesia” by maximizing the country’s available opportunities. Given the global challenges ahead—such as geopolitical tensions and disruptions in the technology sector—he emphasized that these can be opportunities to strengthen national resilience.
“Forums like DFFS 2024 can be a space for generating innovations and strategies to build a Smart Indonesia, leading to more innovative and efficient new methods,” said Pratikno in his statement on Wednesday (6/11/2024).
Meanwhile, Minister of Creative Economy/Head of the Creative Economy Agency, Teuku Riefky Harsya, added that DFFS 2024 is a highly relevant platform in Indonesia’s continuous efforts to innovate and adapt in an ever-changing world.
“We see the importance of collaboration between the creative, technology, and government sectors to drive sustainable progress. This event is a valuable opportunity to elevate Indonesia’s creative economy potential to the global stage,” he explained.
Daniel Surya, President Commissioner of WIR Group, also expressed pride in being part of the DFFS 2024. He highlighted how the event’s theme—“Guarding Today, Guiding Tomorrow”—reflects a balanced approach to innovation and national security.
The theme underscores a dual, interconnected responsibility: protecting and sustaining the present, while simultaneously shaping and guiding the future.
“‘Guarding Today, Guiding Tomorrow’ is a call for innovators, policymakers, and society to come together, collaborate, innovate, and lead with vision and adaptive awareness. The theme aligns perfectly with our commitment to continuously delivering technological innovations that not only benefit the economy but also generate positive social and environmental impact,” he stated.
The summit also features speakers from both Indonesia and abroad, including:
