Jakarta, 29 January 2026 — The Artificial Intelligence Institute for Progress (AIIP) successfully held the AIIP Phase #2 Impact Showcase & White Paper Launch on Thursday, 29 January 2026. This exclusive event marked the official launch of AIIP’s white paper, “Accelerating AI Adoption in Indonesia,” and convened policymakers, industry leaders, investors, and AIIP Phase #2 participants for a focused dialogue on Indonesia’s AI adoption landscape.
The session opened with a keynote address by Nezar Patria, Vice Minister of Communications and Digital, followed by the official White Paper launch. A symbolic handover of the White Paper from Ray Djajadadinata, Program Director of AIIP, to the Vice Minister highlighted a shared commitment to strengthening leadership, readiness, and governance across Indonesia’s AI journey.
The multi-stakeholder panel featured Sonny Sudaryana, Acting Director, Directorate of Digital Ecosystems Development, Ministry of Communications and Digital; Yosua Nainggolan, Chief of Digital Business, Sinarmas SQE; Brata Rafly, Head of Startup Ecosystem, Amazon Web Services; and Kevin Pantasdo, CEO, Quantum. Moderated by Cynthia Krisanti, Director of Innovations Pijar Foundation.
The discussion explored how leadership, organizational readiness, and external pressures, including regulation, market competition, and national digital mandates, shape AI strategies across public and private sectors. The panel underscored the importance of multi-stakeholder collaboration to address adoption challenges and unlock AI’s strategic opportunities at scale.
The event also featured live startup presentations from AIIP Phase #2 participants, Covena, SQOUTS, Unified Intelligence, and HeyHi, showcasing how startups are moving beyond experimentation to deliver scalable, real-world AI solutions with tangible industry impact.
Through this showcase and White Paper launch, AIIP reaffirmed its commitment to fostering meaningful collaboration and accelerating responsible, sustainable AI adoption for national impact.
