Jakarta – The Presidential Staff Office (KSP) has initiated a youth movement to safeguard and continue President Joko Widodo’s legacy, while formulating forward-looking policies for Indonesia Emas 2045. The movement is manifested in the form of the Indonesia Future Network (IFN).

IFN serves as a platform for young individuals with expertise in their respective fields to connect and exchange ideas in response to global challenges—ranging from health, public policy, education, food, energy and environment, industry, to information and communication technology.

“The outcomes of each discussion will be formulated into recommendations for both the current government and future administrations,” said Chief of Presidential Staff, General (Ret.) Moeldoko, during the press conference for the Indonesia Future Network (IFN) Kick-off at the Bina Graha building in Jakarta, Friday (March 22). The press conference was also attended by Minister of Youth and Sports, Dito Ariotedjo, and Minister of Health, Budi Gunadi Sadikin.

Moeldoko emphasized that young people, particularly those at the middle management level, must be aware of global challenges in order to develop constructive solutions for the government. “Through IFN, they can share their advice and input,” he stated.

Furthermore, the former Commander of the Indonesian National Armed Forces (2013–2015) said that the Indonesia Future Network (IFN) program is a form of public involvement in strategic national projects. “The potential of young people currently spread across the country needs to be drawn together as a strength and collaboration, so that their thinking can continue the legacy built by President Joko Widodo,” Moeldoko concluded.

IFN is a multi-stakeholder collaboration between the Presidential Staff Office, the Ministry of Youth and Sports, the Ministry of National Development Planning (Bappenas), Pijar Foundation, Huawei, and Perkumpulan Warga Muda. IFN is held monthly from March to September 2024.

Participants are curated future leaders with expertise in their respective fields, coming from various sectors such as private industry, government, NGOs, and organizations.
